We keep browser storage to the minimum needed to make the site work and to understand which guides are useful.

What we store

Theme preference: a single local storage entry named sara-theme that remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. It never leaves your device.
Analytics: anonymous, aggregated measurement of page views so we know which guides to update first. No profile is built about you.
Affiliate tracking: when you click through to a retailer, that retailer may set its own cookie to credit the referral. Their policy applies from that point.

What we do not store

The tools on this site run entirely in your browser. Your quiz answers, budget, spray counts and note selections are never sent to a server and never saved between visits.

Turning cookies off

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear local storage in its privacy settings. The site still works with them blocked, though the theme toggle will reset to your system preference on each visit.
